Design & symbolism
The coloured reverse draws on the flag’s green, blue and black—a vivid reflection of land, sea and people, and a declaration of connection to Country, waters and kinship. At its heart sit the Dhari (headdress) and five-pointed star, anchoring the design in cultural heritage and linking today’s communities with ancestral traditions and the diverse Island groups.
Origins & significance
