2025 $2 ‘80th Anniversary of WWII’ Poppy Wreath — Coloured Premium Rolled Circulating Coin Roll (Hologram Sticker)
Marking 80 years since the end of World War II, this premium rolled $2 coloured circulating coin roll features a reverse wreath of eight red poppies—a symbol of remembrance—surrounded by sculpted leaves, with each poppy representing a decade since the war’s end.
Historical note
Germany’s invasion of Poland on 1 September 1939 triggered WWII. Two days later, Prime Minister Robert Menzies declared Australia at war. Nearly one million Australians served—initially in the Mediterranean and Middle East (1940–41), then increasingly in the Pacific after December 1941. Women served in newly formed Army, Navy and Air Force branches from 1941. By September 1945, close to 40,000 Australians had died in service.Roll details
